Quick note about the last post

Since my own mom seemed to think I didn’t understand Alaska’s geography, I just wanted to note that I was being humorous with that last post. I’m very aware of how far south I am in relation to my usual Alaskan bases, and I know that the sun rises later when you travel west in a time zone. Having all of Alaska in one time zone is rather absurd, given the state’s vast spread both north to south and east to west. In fact, I’m actually not living in Alaska Standard Time for the summer; Buldir operates on Aleutian Standard Time (with Adak), which puts us an hour behind the rest of Alaska. In conclusion, I’m happy to say that I am living in another dimension. I wanted to clear that up so that no one would be left questioning my intelligence. 🙂
